Business Analyst/Service Test Lead
9 month contract - DFW Area

The Business Analyst & Service Test Lead is responsible for ensuring the product requirements and quality for  backend services that support customer notifications and mobile applications. A successful candidate must be able to capture requirements for new features and translate those into test cases for service testing. Need experience with web service testing tools as well as managing the test creation, test execution, analysis of test results, defect resolution, and status reporting. Web Service testing experience required. Services consist of both SOAP and REST based. The Business Analysts/Service Test Lead must possess current knowledge of testing tools and techniques and utilize this expertise to make recommendations regarding testing strategies. The Business Analyst/Service Test Team is responsible for creating user stories and acceptance criteria. The person will also develop and execute the test cases and report defects. 


Responsibilities:
• Develop and organize accurate documentation of requirements
• Develop and implement test scripts
• Understand Hewlett Packard Quality Center to support testing effort for defect tracking based on software requirements


Qualifications:
• Ability to identify and communicate business requirements
• Able to analyze and translate requirements and business design into test cases
• Strong organization skills with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities
• Thorough understanding of standardized testing methodologies and quality assurance processes
• Must have a solid testing background with experience in developing testing artifacts
• Excellent communication and writing skills
• Analytical skills to support problem solving initiatives
• Must be able to clearly and concisely describe problems and recommended solutions
• Must demonstrate attention to detail
• Must be able to interact effectively with various levels of management
• Must be able to effectively understand and communicate with technical resources
• Self starter with high level of initiative
• 3-5 years experience as Business Analyst, QA Lead with both manual and automated software testing of Web Services.
• Working knowledge of HP Quality Center/Test Director
• Experience with Agile methodologies
