Summary: Develop, create, and modify webservice (SOAP/REST) applications and specialized utility programs utilizing various development frameworks. Responsible for designing software or customizing software for client/application use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency. The technical skills include the knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture and related technologies. 

o Bachelor degree in computer science or equivalent training required 
o 5-7 years related experience required 

Responsibility level 
o Exercises independent judgment with direction from supervisor 

o Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills (Required) 
o Ability to work independently and manage one’s time (Required) 
o Basic mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback (Required) 
o Knowledge of software IDEs such as Eclipse and Visual Studio (Required) 
o Excellent Java programming skills (Required) 
o Experience with C#.NET programming (Required) 
o Knowledge of design techniques and principles involved in production of drawings and models (Required) 
o Knowledge Oracle, SQL Server, WAS, IBM DataPower XI50, etc (Required) 

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities: 
o Modify existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance 
o Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints 
o Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met 
o Design, develop and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design 
o Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan computer specifications and layouts, and peripheral equipment modifications 
o Obtain and evaluate information on factors such as reporting formats required, costs, and security needs to determine hardware configuration 
o Consult with customers about software system design and maintenance 
o Confer with architects, systems analysts, engineers, programmers and others to design system and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces
