Migration Systems Analyst
6 month contract - DFW Area

Participate in a large cross-functional team of business and IT
representatives to support activities in the development of a new large
scale system. The position will work with the IT team to document plans for
migrating all interfacing applications. The individual will meet with
application owners to gather details about the current system interfaces and
will work with the system owners and architects to plan the new interfaces and
develop a schedule with the migration details. The position reports regularly
to management on the migration strategy, challenges and project status.

Education/Experience

o Bachelor degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer
engineering or related field preferred but not required.

o 8-10 years experience required

Responsibility level

o Exercises independent judgment with minimal direction from supervisor

Skills

• Advanced knowledge of current Airline systems on a variety of computing
platforms including Linux, Unix, z/OS and TPF

• Agile methodology experience desired

• Excellent time management, multi-tasking and organizational skills as
well as the ability to work under the pressure of deadlines in a fast-paced and
changing environment

• Excellent verbal/written communication and facilitation skills.

• Superior analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.

• Strong knowledge of design techniques and principles involved in high
volume messaging systems

• Strong business process and requirements analysis skills

• Change Management

• Advanced knowledge of BPM and SOA based technologies

• Hands-on experience as a SOA Architect

• Strong Architecture skills with an understanding and/or development
experience in XML, SOAP, UDDI, J2EE, .Net, WS-Security, ITIL processes, SOA
Governance, Web Services Management tools, and Object Oriented Programming

• Hands-on experience with UML, Enterprise Architecture, and XML/Schema
documentation tools (including tools like Visio, WebSphere Integration
Developer, XMLSpy, Rational Software Architect, etc.)

• The ability to develop and maintain successful working relationships
across departmental lines and respond quickly and accurately to requirements

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:

o Document existing environment and develop strategy and tasks to move to
environment under development, describing the technical functions as well as
the business functions involved

o Excellent project management and analytical skills, coupled with
problem solving skills and the ability to determine and communicate details
related to a system hardware and software migration.

o Proven ability to manage multiple efforts concurrently and successfully
promote new processes and methodologies

o Ability to keep complex efforts moving forward quickly while exercising
an appropriate level of discipline
